Dali
They have many series to choose from. Ikon, Mentor, Helicon and Euphonia. Our favourite of these is the Mentor series.
Sure we sell a truck load more of the Ikons and the Helicon and Euphonia series are better sounding and are true high-end audiophile speakers, but the Mentors, in the words of a reviewer, "are almost criminally good at the asking price."
"The new Dali Mentor 6 could even teach some expensive
High Enders a trick or two."
The Great Mentor.
Immerse yourself in great music. Mentor 6 is all about recreating a convincing sonic landscape of an open field rock event, the pulse of an industrial beat or the subtle ambience of a world-class concert hall. Mentor 6 provides a stunning listening experience, right in your living room.
A pair of Mentors becomes invisible in a soundstage. Music Emerges.
You are in for a thoroughly great time.
Come in to audition any of the Dali ranges we carry.

Of the many landmark innovations KEF has pioneered, arguably the greatest of all is Uni-Q, with its outstanding acoustic clarity and off-axis dispersion. The first complete product range to showcase Uni-Q in every model was the Q Series and now, after almost 20 years of continuous development, the latest iteration of this award-winning line raises the bar even higher, both subjectively and objectively.

COMPACT AND ACCURATE
A powerful 300 watt (900 watt peak) low-distortion, high-reliability amplifier gives Grotto i extremely articulate bass without need of exaggerated amplifier power ratings or transient-blurring ported or passive radiator enclosures common to many modern subwoofers. A proprietary servo system further ensures that output from Grotto i's 10-inch high-resolution aluminum cone woofer is dramatically free of distortion and provides a faithful replica of the audio input signal.

Naim Audio
A passionate and committed interest in music is the foundation stone of Naim Audio that has enabled them to design and manufacture what they believe to be the finest sounding range of audio equipment available in the world today.
Founded by Julian Vereker MBE (1945 - 2000), his original inspiration continues to motivate Naim, its people and its designs.
While all their products must meet and exceed many measurable parameters that they believe that they should, above all, be capable of delivering the kind of musical performance that they themselves would want to live with. This requires a special and unique approach to component selection and system design along with a highly specialised production environment.

Neat Acoustics - Motive 1
“an outstanding example of a top-quality compact floorstanding speaker”
HiFi Choice, January 2006 Although this is the taller of the two floorstanders in the Motive range, the Motive 1 is nevertheless a compact and elegant model. It will blend discreetly into your living room whilst its performance gives little away to larger and more expensive models.
Technical description
This loudspeaker uses a two and half-way configuration where the lower unit reproduces bass to underpin the full-range bass-mid driver. The bass reflex port is fitted to the bottom panel of the cabinet and is vented through an outlet in the stylishly sculpted MDF plinth.
The tweeter is the outstanding unit used throughout the Motive range which features a huge magnet assembly and a 25mm inverted titanium dome. This type of tweeter is usually only found in expensive high-end loudspeakers and is therefore an exceptional inclusion to the Motive designs.
In spite of the compact dimensions, the Motive One manages to accurately reproduce genuinely low bass notes with spacious and well-focused stereo imagery.

Neat Acoustics - Momentum 3i
The Momentum 3i is a compact 2-way iso-baric bookshelf/standmount design, measuring 38 x 22 x 27cm (hwd). Don’t be fooled by this unassuming modesty - this is a real heavyweight contender with giant-killing credentials. Here, the benefits of iso-baric bass loading combine with the significant virtues of a compact enclosure - to magnificent effect.
All of the drive units used in the Momentum models are custom-made to Neat Acoustics’ specifications. The close tolerance capacitors and chokes used in the hardwired crossover networks are, likewise, made to our exacting requirements by leading UK suppliers. All of this technology is presented in attractive, room-friendly cabinets in a variety of finishes to match any décor. More importantly, the Momentum loudspeakers are capable of delivering a compelling musical experience where it really matters – in the listening room.
Specifications
- Size (hxwxd) -38 x 22 x 27cm
- Weight - 15Kg each
- Impedance - 6 Ohms (minimum 4 Ohms)
- Sensitivity - 88dB/1 watt
- System - 2-way iso-baric bass reflex.

 |
Neat Acoustics - Momentum 4i
The Momentum 4i is a full range 2.5-way iso-baric floorstanding design which uses four drive units in each enclosure. Iso-baric loading is a familiar feature on Neat loudspeakers, this being our favoured system for delivering exemplary bass performance. The iso-baric principle is exploited in quite a radical way in the design of the Momentum 4i, which features two 6.5" bass drive units in an integral subwoofer arrangement (this part of the system is hidden from view).
An ‘Ultimatum’ type bass/midrange main driver then handles frequencies up to the crossover point, where the latest version of our ‘NMT’ inverted titanium dome tweeter, with its extended HF response, takes over. All of the drive units used in the Momentum models are custom-made to Neat Acoustics’ specifications.
The close tolerance capacitors
and chokes used in the hardwired crossover networks are, likewise, made to our exacting requirements by leading UK suppliers.
All of this technology is presented in attractive, room-friendly cabinets in a variety of finishes to match any décor. More importantly, the Momentum loudspeakers are capable of delivering a compelling musical experience where it really
matters – in the listening room.
Specifications
- Size (hxwxd) - 38 x 22 x 27cm
- Weight - 15Kg each
- Impedance - 6 Ohms (minimum 4 Ohms)
- Sensitivity - 88dB/1 watt
- System - 2-way iso-baric bass reflex.

In a world where most audio equipment is designed by computers, NEAT makes the only commercially produced loudspeakers where the design is dictated solely by listening to music. Built, by hand, by English craftsmen who take justifiable pride in creating these beautiful enclosures, the majority of the drive units used in Neat's loudspeakers are custom-made to their specifications.

Ruark
Ruark have been manufacturing high-end loudspeakers since 1986. Since then Ruark has established a reputation as an individual and innovative loudspeaker manufacturer offering distinguished and exquisitely designed products for those who demand the uncompromised reproduction of music.
Ruark has the advantage of superior technology, which permits extremely precise assessments and calculations to be made of the various components of a loudspeaker system. Much use is made of advanced measuring and CAD systems to obtain the requisite critical data for the initial design parameters.
However, designing and building a loudspeaker is more than the analysis of computer data. There is no substitute for years of experience and dedication. As with a finely crafted musical instrument, a designer needs an appreciation of musicality and sound quality, an understanding of how the different materials and components combine to influence the overall voicing. Their attention to detail has resulted in Ruark being the only speaker manufacturer to be members of the Guild of Master Craftsman.
The loudspeaker must convey all the elements and emotion of a musical performance in a manner that will engage the listener.
Ruark: Loudspeakers that possess the ability to communicate and inspire!

Sonus Faber
The Acoustics
Music reproduction as a special auditory occasion. Offering the emotional excitement of a pure musical event to every listening experience through reproduction instruments that let the entire expressive power of music envelop the ear. These are the aims with which we Sonus faber build our loudspeakers. Our projects draw inspiration from the construction criteria of the lute-maker's craft, as we are convinced that the quality characteristics of sound in a loudspeaker depend above all on the acoustic chamber - on its form and the materials it is made of - just like any other musical instrument.
The Design
Loudspeakers as elements integrated into the environment. The aesthetic component in Sonus faber loudspeakers stems from a conceptual choice: the result of a perfect dialogue between the language of forms and functionality. Acoustics and design meet in sonic euphony and visual harmony, just as is the case with musical instruments in which the stylistic matrix is also intended to define sonic identity.
Craftsmanship and Technology
Another essential contribution to the acoustic identity of Sonus faber loudspeakers comes from our special combination of craftsmanship and technology: on the one hand contemporary artisan craft in which the maximum expression of human sensitivity and skill can be seen in the process of selecting, working and treating the wood and building the cabinets; and on the other technology that reaches toward the avant-garde and employs renowned Northern European know-how to guarantee excellent performance from the individual drivers fitted in these units.
